WE HAVE A VIDEO FOR YOU!!!!
CLICK ON "TUTTI I VIDEO" and watch the one on "European Rally" showing you the "European Rally Box"
Description of the idea of rally:
Finally we don't use technology but pupils will play physically, better is a bigger place then a classroom (if possible!). They will make noise and is very important to manage time and their enthusiasm! Make a pact with them at the beginning. You are going to play and this can be risky if pupils are not addressed.
Firstly organize the setting. You created the European Rally Box and it's full of materials. It can be just the beginning and can be furthermore develop with your creativity, don't forget it!
The setting should be a big space where you create 4 stations. In each one there should be a big white poster (blanket).
1st station: is the station where pupils have to draw Europe, the Countries and the borders writing inside the name of the Countries in English
2nd station: is the station where pupils have to create columns with languages and countries
3rd station: is the station where pupils have to create columns of Countries and capitals
4th station: is the station where pupils have to associate Countries and flags
Ok, now organize them in teams, you know better how to mix them! The idea is to make a rally so each group should play in all the stations so, be ready to change the white paper in the 2st one and then calculate time, giving them 10 minutes per station and establish some rules. You will need help. The ideal is that teachers work together helping each other because this game create confusion and energize pupils more than expected. It's a competition so teams can have numbers or different names (pupils can decide the lesson before the name and the symbol of the team maybe).
The TASK for teachers is not just organize, plan and conduct the game but, as always, DOCUMENT with pictures and videos! Share them as soon as possible!!!!
